Job Description

Want to put your CDL experience to work but still be home every night? B.R. Kreider & Son, Inc. is looking for a full-time licensed CLASS A CDL TRUCK DRIVER with the ability to operate a dump truck on the road and on job sites in a safe manner. Will also be required to operate a dump truck with a tag along trailer, as well as, a lowboy truck and trailer.  Must be able to haul fill, stone, rocks; spread stone, and assist with labor duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck daily
• Complete the required daily maintenance of truck
• Spread and dump load in a smooth and safe manner
• Maintain the truck in compliance with Penn DOT regulations at all times and follow 60-hour rule
• Work together with others on the job site to accomplish tasks efficiently
• Practices good safety procedures when operating all company equipment
• Practices driving techniques that minimize tire, brake, and clutch wear
• Operates truck in a courteous and safe manner on highway

Experience & Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Required: CDL Class A License 
• Preferred:  2 Years’ experience
• Knowledge of daily pre-trip inspections and maintenance
• Familiar with the geographical area 
• Knowledge of highway regulations and Penn DOT requirements pertaining to CDL trucks
• Knowledge of proper ways to secure loads
• General knowledge of excavating equipment to load truck when necessary
• General knowledge of the functions of excavating and paving
