Paving Roller Operator

Job Description

Interested in bringing your roller operator experience to the leading commercial paving company in Central PA? B.R. Kreider & Son, Inc. has an opening for a full-time Roller Operator with knowledge of rolling techniques, asphalt densities and compaction, grades, swales, edge tamping, etc. to ensure a beautiful, finished paving job. Valid PA Driver’s License preferred.

Responsibilities

Roll asphalt materials so that there are no creases, roller marks, or vibrator marks
Ensure good compaction
Properly roll swales, high points and joints
Perform vibraplating and tamping to meet company standards
Operate water truck and tar buggy as needed
Service and maintain rollers, vibraplates
Assist in labor duties when not rolling
Work safely around employees and property

Experience & Qualifications

Valid Driver's License Preferred
Must be at least 18 years of age
Knowledge of rolling techniques, asphalt densities and compaction, and service and maintenance of roller
Knowledge of grades, swales and high points and joints.
Knowledge of edge tamping
