Manheim, PA – B.R. Kreider & Son, Inc. recently recognized the anniversaries of three longtime employees.
Nevin Hosler celebrated his 45-year anniversary with the company in September 2014, while both Leon Harnly and Don Sauder each celebrated 30 years of employment with B.R. Kreider & Son, Inc.
Hosler currently serves as Senior Supervisor at B.R. Kreider & Son, Inc. Hosler joined the company in 1969 as a laborer before quickly moving into an operator position. A supervisory role in the company’s excavation department followed where Hosler’s responsibilities included managing jobs and employees.
“Nevin has such a great wealth of knowledge about our industry and he is a man of the highest integrity,” said Michael Fecik, President of B.R. Kreider & Son. “He’s a great resource and problem solver on complicated jobsite situations and his experience with site and pipe work are invaluable to our team and our customers. Nevin is very organized and detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high quality solutions.”
Harnly joined B.R. Kreider & Son after graduating from Lancaster Mennonite High School in 1984. Harnly is a Dispatcher with the company, a position he has held for the past 24 years. Prior to his current role, Harnly served as a job costing clerk and had various field construction positions with the company.
“Leon is an incredible dispatcher, which means he definitely has the ability to multitask,” said Fecik. “It’s a difficult, fast-paced position and he handles so many different situations at the same time and somehow keeps it all straight. Leon is obviously very dedicated to our company and the needs of our projects. He knows every piece of equipment and where they are at any given time, can give directions to any of our jobsites even though he may never have been there and supervises our transport trailers for maximum efficiency. We’re fortunate to have Leon as part of our team.”
Sauder started his career at B.R. Kreider & Son as a laborer, moving up to a backhoe operator position before becoming an estimator in 1989. In 2000, Sauder was promoted to his current position, Director of Estimating where he is in charge of the company’s estimating team.
“Don is someone who is very respected by his co-workers, customers and outside firms and agencies,” said Fecik. “He’s highly motivated and is extremely customer-focused, making sure that our customers’ needs are met no matter how tight the bid deadline. Plus Don has a vast depth of knowledge about our industry, a great sense of the market. Take all that and add his attention to detail and it’s easy to see why he’s such a valuable member of the B.R. Kreider & Son team.”
